Apple Announced 25 Billionth App and 10,000 gift card Winner

Well, the wait is over, Apple has announced the winner of the 25 billionth app and again this is a free app. The lucky 25 billionth app was Where’s My Water? And the winner was Chunli Fu of Qingdao from China. He will get a $10,000 iTunes gift card.

Apple launched App Store back in 2008, one year after the release of iPhone 2G. Currently, App store has more than 550,000 apps; all these apps are available in 123 different countries all over the world. Last year, A lady from UK won $10,000 iTunes gift card for downloading a game Paper Glider.

CUPERTINO, California—March 5, 2012—Apple® today announced that more than 25 billion apps have been downloaded from its revolutionary App Store™ by the users of the more than 315 million iPhone®, iPad® and iPod touch® devices worldwide. The 25 billionth app downloaded, Where’s My Water? Free, was downloaded by Chunli Fu of Qingdao, China. As the winner of the App Store Countdown to 25 Billion Apps, Chunli Fu will receive a $10,000 iTunes® Gift Card.
