The lucky folks at famous devices repair company, iFixit got their hands on the new iPad and like earlier they tear down the Apple’s amazing iPad to see what is packed inside this tablet. The new iPad has the same size as that of iPad2 but it has amazing resolution and Retina display and probably this is the reason, it is called “The Resolutionary iPad”. Apple has not released the new iPad in US so, the iFixit team managed to go to the Australia to explore this tablet from inside.
They haven’t released the complete details or the tear down video about the new iPad; however, some quite interesting details are unveiled by them which are:
- According to the iFixit, the LCD panel of the new iPad was manufactured by the Samsung; this also confirms the early reports which explained earlier that Samsung is the only Retina Display supplier to Apple.
- The new iPad packs 11,560 mAh battery.
- iFixit team also states that the A5X chip used in this iPad was manufactured by Samsung back in first quarter of 2012.
- It also uses the Broadcom BCM4330 802.11a/b/g/n MAC/Baseband/Radio with Integrated Bluetooth 4.0+HS and FM Transceiver.
