Send Emails, SMS and Tweets From Anywhere On iPhone Using FastStatus [Video]

by on February 27, 2012

In the past few days, jailbreak tweaks regarding Siri voice assistant and Notifications center of the iOS 5 have been released left right and center. While we are not complaining, as most of them are pretty good, but those users who don’t currently own an iPhone 4S and are on an older version of iPhones, have not had to see a new jailbreak tweak that could be used by them as well. With FastStatus, however that monotony is set to change, as it brings some great functionality to your iDevice.

FastStatus is a pretty nifty jailbreak tweak that greatly enhances the messaging flexibility on your jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. What FastStatus does is that it gives you the ability to compose an email, write an SMS or Tweet to your followers from anywhere on your iDevice. That means that you can access all these features from anywhere on your iPhone, and you don’t have to go to each specific Application to do any of those things.

FastStatus

FastStatus is really going to appeal to those who multitask a lot, as you can simultaneously compose your emails while you watch a video on YouTube or researching Wikipedia. While Apple has Twitter integration built into the iOS 5, FastStatus just takes it another step further.

It doesn’t have an icon on the Springboard but lets you tinker with the settings from the settings menu. One thing to remember before using FastStatus is that it relies on Activator to function properly, as it relies on customized gestures for its activation from the Springboard.

Just set up a customized gesture to launch FastStatus and compose emails, SMS and tweets on the fly. And for something that brings great functionality, FastStatus has been made available completely free of charge. Look for FastStatus under the BigBoss Cydia Reposiory and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
