RedSn0w 0.9.12b2 has just been released and is the latest update to the iPhone Dev Team’s Redsn0w jailbreaking tool. The team members have been hard at work for the last couple of days and their prime focus had been on updating their tools with the iOS 5.1.1 Untether Rocky Racoon capability and a new option that enables the restoration of activation tickets, as seen with the Redsn0w Version 0.9.12b1. This latest version of Redsn0w is however, a minor update comparatively to the version released last week.
This latest version of RedSn0w 0.9.12b2 serves to fix the iBooks bug that was reported by the users especially the iPhone 3GS users. Along with the minor bug fixes, RedSn0w 0.9.12b2 has now been updated with new Rocky Racoon options so that owners of devices that can be patched with the limera1n exploit will now be asked explicitly if they want the Rocky Racoon injection via the ramdisk method or to opt for the regular backup and restore method.
There is no real reason for you to jailbreak your iPhone again if you have already done it via the previous version of Redsn0w or Absinthe and if everything is working well for you.
