How to convert your iPad into Windows 8 Tablet [Video]?

by on May 1, 2012

Microsoft introduced consumer preview of Windows 8 which is specially designed for tablets. No doubt, the metro UI of windows 8 looks pretty amazing. However, Windows 8 tablets are quite costly but to all the iPad users, we have good news, now you can try the Metro User interface and other gesture based amazing features right on your iPad using an app from iTunes.

This app is developed by Splashtop, and is called Win8 Metro Testbed and will convert your iPad into Windows8 Tablet. So, you can test the Windows8 tablet without buying one tablet, this may be one of the main reasons behind the success of this app. Because I would like to spend $25 on this app rather than hefty $1200 on new Windows 8 Tablet.

Here’s what developers said about their app:

“With Windows 8 Metro expected to ship on over 400 million new PCs and tablets annually, these developers have high expectations for an enormous new market. Splashtop lets them turn their iPad into a development testbed to evaluate touch gestures and functionality of their app in a Windows 8 environment.”

This app doesn’t have only the Windows 8 user interface but many other Windows 8 gestures are included in this app. You can watch the embedded video below to  watch the detailed video review of this app.

You can download this app from iTunes for an introductory price of  $25 [iTunes Link]

Why would we want to replace iOS with Windows?? That’ll be like going backwards!
