Springtomize 2 Updated With Native Support For iPad 2 [Video]

by on February 4, 2012

Now there has to be thousands of jailbreak tweaks floating around in Cydia Appstore, both free and paid, but there are a few really essential jailbreak tweaks that really enhance the overall user experience of the user, and one feels hard to go without once a user has had a taste for it. Springtomize is one of such jailbreak tweaks. Coupled with SBsettings, both Springtomize 2 and SBSettings make a killer combination and greatly increase the functionality of your iDevice

Springtomize 2 was just updated today, to give it native support for the iPad 2, the one thing that it was missing. This means that you no longer would have to run it the 2x mode on your iPad and it would now run in its full glory on the iPad 2’s big beautiful screen. Along with this update there have also been some changes that are specifically for the iPad.

The updated Springtomize 2 now gives you 3 different options for coverflow dock effects. Some nifty aesthetic changes such as transparent notification center and adjustments for dock shadows along with some other minor tweaks as well. This update also addresses bugs in the previous tweaks such as scrambled icons and icons that disappeared on the dock under certain circumstances.

The video above describes one of the best features of springtomize 2, which is the ability to activate or deactivate jailbreak tweaks installed on your iPhone or iPad. That is of course done via the Mobile substrate addon management tab that can be accessed from Springtomize 2. This is very handy if you want to disable any tweak that you previously installed but don’t want to delete it.

To install and use this on your iPhone, you would of course first have to first jailbreak it. You can use Absinthe to jailbreak your latest iPhone 4S running on iOS 5.0.1, if you have not done so already, to utilize Springtomize.
