Yes, you read it right; we have exciting news from the Jailbreakers family. The upcoming version of the redsn0w will allow users to downgrade their A5 devices from iOS 5.1.1 to previous versions so that you could enjoy the Untethered Jailbreak of iOS 5.0.1. So, all those users who have updated their devices willingly or unwillingly will be able to downgrade to previous versions.
Musclenerd, the prominent member behind the Chronic Dev team tweeted the picture of the upcoming version of Redsn0w restoring the iPad 2. The next version of Redsn0w is dubbed as Redsn0w 0.9.11b1. Well, now there is a catch, you will be able to downgrade your device only if you have saved SHSH blobs for iOS 5.0.1 or previous version. If you have got a new iPhone 4S or iPad 2 with iOS 5.1.1 than you won’t be able to downgrade it to previous versions. So, to make the things clear, you can downgrade iPhone 4S and iPad 2 to iOS 5.0.1 and enjoy untethered Jailbreak, While the New iPad can only be downgraded to iOS 5.1. As there is no Jailbreak available for the new iPad so it won’t help you to downgrade to any version of iOS.
Well, there is no estimated time about the release of next version of Redsn0w. But as soon as it is out, we will post a detailed guide on How to downgrade iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and the New iPad, so Stay tuned to us.
