Another jailbreak tweak that we are going to cover for you guys today goes by the name of DoubleDock. As the name itself suggests, DoubleDock adds another layer of the dock with 5 App icons on top of the standard iOS 5 dock. Hit the jump to learn more about DoubleDock jailbreak tweak.
Now there are some jailbreak tweaks that just don’t give much incentive to use them and quite honestly, DoubleDock is one of such jailbreak tweaks. In our opinion, DoubleDock does not enhance the functionality of the standard dock on the iOS, or the iDevice for that matter, and neither does it accentuate the aesthetics of the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
And on top of all that , DoubleDock is actually a paid jailbreak tweak for which you would have to pay for, in case you ever decided to use it. To use doubledock you need to have 5 icons per dock to actually use the second dock. And because of this limitation using DoubleDock makes the whole iOS 5 interface look uncoordinated and just plain unpleasant.
Doubledock does not even gives you a settings menu so that you may change or tweak it or personalize it according to your specific preferences. So essentially, all that you are going to get if you purchase this is another dock on your homescreen with no customizable options, and that just ends up making your homescreen look clunky.
Looks like the developers did not think this one through now did they? If you still want to check this jailbreak tweak out, you can head over to the BigBoss repository on Cydia and buy DoubleDock for $0.99. As for our opinion about DoubleDock, we’d rather stick with the alternatives for now. If you are looking for ways to modify your dock then there are some pretty good jailbreak tweaks out there such as Sprigtomize 2, that give you some great functionality and lots of customization options as well.
