Ok guys, so our focus for previous week has been on jailbreak tweaks that customize user interface of the iOS 5, such as Siri Tweaks, custom UI Sounds and notifications center tweaks. And today we are going to stick to that routine by covering iUnlock, a jailbreak tweak that would let you customize the animations that run when you unlock your iPhone using the Unlock slider.
iUnlock is eerily similar to the UnlockFX jailbreak tweak that was released some time back. And after checking it out, it’s apparent that it doesn’t have a lot new to offer that has already been made available. But that doesn’t mean that it is void of its share of bells and whistles.
iUnlock has a host of available animations to offer that you can use to customize the way your iOS device behaves when you unlock it. These are somewhat similar that you may have seen from other similar jailbreak tweaks such as Barrel and UnlockFX. It also lets you assign custom sounds that play when you unlock your iPhone.
One cool feature of iUnlock that we liked is that it allows to unlock the iDevice by using custom scrolling patterns instead of the usual way of using the slide to unlock bar. These can be set from the iUnlock settings menu.
iUnlock is priced at $1.99 and can be purchased via the Cydia store under the BigBoss Repository. One good that the developer has implemented regarding the pricing of iUnlock is that it offers a 3 day free trial, so that users can actually try this before they decide to buy this jailbreak tweak. So if don’t feel like using it after 3 days, you don’t have to pay for it.
You would need a jailbroken iDevice to try this jailbreak tweak. Check out our detailed guide to jailbreak iPhone 4S if you haven’t done already.
